About Our Organization
United for a Good Cause Inc.
United for a Good Cause Inc. is a 501c3 tax exempt, non-profit organization. The mission of our organization is to "Promote the Spirit of Service, Giving and Unity among the youth in our region for the benefit of the Emerald Coast community."
We are an organization founded and led primarily by Hispanics, but our Board, membership and the activities we plan, are all open to anyone regardless of race, ethnicity or creed.
The goals of our organization are:
- To lead the planning, organizing and execution of the annual Emerald Coast Christmas Miracle (Uniting the Community...for the Children) Children’s Christmas Fiesta
- To develop projects which provide young people of all ages the opportunity to participate in charitable and/or community service activities
- To educate local youth about philanthropy and their opportunities for charitable service and giving
- To look for opportunities to help raise funds or make direct contributions on behalf of established children’s charities
Our organization’s leadership was instrumental in the founding of the LUCES NAVIDEÑAS Needy Children’s Christmas Party that served over 2600 children and families beginning in 2005 and including over 900 in December 2011!
On December 22, 2012, our organization re-branded the original children’s party into the "Annual Emerald Coast Christmas Miracle." Since then, the event has hosted over 6,000 children and families while maintaining the basic concept of an EVERYTHING IS FREE to all that attend needy children’s Christmas Fiesta. Once again, thanks to the generosity of corporations, local businesses and individuals, as well as the Toys for Tots program and the United Way’s "Coats for Kids" program, the event has been a huge success!
